St. Edward Central Catholic High School supports a well-rounded program of athletics for all students. Boys and girls can select from a variety of sports which compete on freshman, sophomore and varsity levels.

Fall Sports

Junior Wave

Planning on attending high school at St. Ed's?
The St. Edward Junior Wave team is 6th, 7th and 8th grade boys basketball at its best!

Crusader Football

Crusader football program is for boys in 4th through 8th grade.
The cheerleading program is for girls in 3rd through 8th grade.


Directions to Home and Away Games

All games played in the St. Edward gym: all visitors and visiting players enter via the south doors of the new (west) building, just west of the gym. Please do not use the lower level door to enter. For directions to away games use the Illinois High School Association website http://www.ihsa.org/school/index.htm and link to the away school's map.

Participation Fee

$185 per student per sport.

Parent Organizations

All parental organizations associated with St. Edward Central Catholic High School are accountable
to the Superintendent and the Diocese of Rockford, Illinois.

Athletic Booster Club
This organization welcomes membership of parents who are interested in supporting the athletic program of St. Edward Central Catholic High School. Under supervision of an Athletic Director and elected officers, the club sponsors many activities to enhance all athletic programs by providing needed funds to purchase safe-quality equipment. Meetings are usually held the first and third Tuesday of each month.

Parent Club
Membership is optional ($10 fee per family). The primary purposes of the club is to foster a spirit of community and conduct social activities for parents and others who support the school. Additionally, the club will sponsor and assist special committees, such as, "operation clean wave", teachers' luncheon, freshman orientation, Post Prom Party, etc. For meeting dates and times, or to sign up for a committee, contact the office at 847.741.7536, ext. 101.
